说真的.

Have you ever watched an anime only to feel a been-there-done-that feeling in your gut? While it is inevitable that for any given work, material has to be borrowed from anywhere and everywhere to create it. However, sometimes it’s just a little obvious when the material in question is borrowed from ’somewhere in particular’.

Indubitably, such recycles of successful concepts and formulas are needed for the survival of the industry. But does anyone yawn upon seeing the same things over again? No matter what the objective quality of a show it, it may be undermined simply because the material it used has been borrowed heavily from a previous title. Of course, this depends on whether you like the content presented. One can eat much of one’s favourite pie, after all.

The question is, do you find good shows with heavily recycled material lacklustre or do you pretend that it is a completely original piece to give it fair judgement? Furthermore, is considering whether a show is rehashed a factor to consider when appraising it?

I believe my fellow bloggers have already said all there is to say about this title, but I felt inclined to give my seal of approval as well…

So here it is. ^_^
